Saucony is getting ready to release their next collaborative project and it’s a good one.
This time they have linked up with fellow partner West NYC to work on the Saucony Shadow 90. These two are no strangers to working with each other as they have already created the “Tequila Sunrise” Shadow 5000 and the “Cabin Fever” Shadow 5000 back in 2013. Now working on the Shadow 90 that they’re naming “Saltwater”, this collaboration draws inspiration from saltwater fishing experience.
The carbon fiber on both the heel tab and Saucony logo represents the strength of the fishing rod. Grip tape is used on both the toe and heel to give the feel of the non skid materials used on a boat. The off white color used on the heel clip is the same color as the bottom of a boat, dis colored by the sea salt and barnacles. Purple and pink are two colors that have dual meanings. When casting off around sunrise, these colors are lighting up the sky, but additionally the lures used to catch some of these fish are of the same hues.
The West NYC x Saucony Shadow 90 “Saltwater” will be releasing on September 26th exclusively at West NYC in sizes 5-14.
