Nike Air Max 90 Familia

Latino Heritage Month is celebrated each year from September 15th to October 15th. This year Nike will be releasing a special iteration of the Nike Air Max 90 that focuses on the importance of the family unit in Latino culture and celebrates the power of community through heritage silhouettes.

Shown below, the Nike Air Max 90 Familia celebrates the diversity and spirit of Latin America. The overall colorful design of the upper is inspired by ’90s goalkeeper jerseys as the patterned upper is made of randomly die-cut panels from a 100% recycled polyester graphic, making every pair unique. The bold pattern of the upper is made up of ten different colors all combined together to create the multicolor aesthetic. With ten different colors all wildly combining, “Familia” is bold and unabashed, paying homage to Nike Football’s most innovative and disruptive designs of that era. A redesigned tongue, transparent Swoosh branding, Black overlays, Yellow hits on the heel tab/throughout, a White midsole and what looks to be a Grind rubber outsole rounds out the main features of the sneaker.
