Following our very own look last week, official images of the Nike LeBron 12 “Double Helix” have finally surfaced.
As its theme suggests, this latest colorway of LeBron James’ twelfth signature sneaker is inspired by LeBron’s DNA, which essentially references that he was born to play the game of basketball. Dipped in a lavish Merlot hue across its Hyperfuse upper and Hyperposite overlays, the official moniker is kept subtly from its overall aesthetic but evident when you direct your viewing towards the rear pull tabs, as it features the double-stranded “Double Helix” structure, most commonly referred to as DNA.
Contrasted with Pink Pow and Volt accents throughout, as well as Metallic Swoosh logos prominently adorning its vamp to mold the sneaker’s DNA composition, the silhouette is rounded out with a translucent hexagonal outsole unit with additional Volt and Pink hits.
The Nike LeBron 12 “Double Helix” is scheduled to debut at Nike retailers this Saturday, February 28th for $200, alongside complimentary apparel.
