The last time the Detroit Pistons won an NBA Championship was back in 2014 when they took down Kobe, Shaq and the LA Lakers. Celebrating the 15th anniversary of that moment, Nike will be releasing this special iteration of the Nike Air Force 1 High dubbed the Nike Air Force 1 High 2004 NBA Finals.
The Nike Air Force 1 High 2004 NBA Finals comes dressed in the Pistons team colors. The upper comes in a Game Royal patent leather construction complimented by some geometric architectural that pays tribute to the Palace of Auburn Hills exterior. Contrast is made by way of the White leather overlays on the eyestay, laces, lining, and midsole, while hits of Red on the inner tongue and one of the stripes on the tongue give the shoe the Pistons feel. An “04” embroidered in Gold on the lateral heel, along with matching “Nike Air” branding heel tabs are also in play. The icy outsole and insoles that read “The D” and “Just Do It” in the classic Finals font complete the theme.
