Hiroshi Fujiwara’s next project pairs him up with Converse, and it appears that this is going to be a new long term partnership between the two groups as Converse has just announced the Converse CONS CTS fragment design Collection. This is the starts of a renewed relationship between both sides as well as entering a new creative partnesrship with street culture icon and founder of fragment design, Hiroshi Fujiwara.
Hiroshi Fujiwara’s passion for skateboarding culture and functional/timeless products is the ideal platform for him to create something special and memorable with with Converse, beginning with a five-piece footwear collection made up of the CONS CTS Ox sneaker.
Hiroshi Fujiwara states:
“I LOVE THE CLASSIC CONVERSE SILHOUETTES, I WANTED TO PUT MY MARK ON A LEGENDARY SNEAKER, KEEPING ITS SIMPLICITY BUT ADDING MY OWN AESTHETIC. THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING.”
The Converse CONS CTS fragment design Collection will be composed of a heavy vintage canvas upper in either black, parchment of navy. Each pair will come with white stitching as well as nickel hits found in the eyelets of the shoes. In addition to those three colorways, there will also be to two bold metallic striped iterations that are topped off with silver and gold on a clean white base. fragment design detailing is found by way Hiroshi’s signature midsole branding, suggestive labeling and simple logo placement. The sneakers will also come with all the essential CONS skateboarding details, that include the drop-in Lunarlon sockliners for amazing cushioning, memory foam padding for a customized fit, and traction rubber outsoles for boardfeel and grip.
