Essentially referencing the popular Looney Tunes character, “Marvin the Martian” who was quiet and soft-spoken, but whose actions were incredibly dangerous – the character’s signature hues are somewhat imbued on this remastered Air Jordan 7, although officially, the inspiration is taken by nighttime lights of Barcelona, Spain. Historically associated with the 1992 Summer Olympics and the greatest group of basketball players ever assembled with “The Dream Team.”
Overall flaunting a predominantly Black nubuck upper with tonal leather overlays gracing along its toe, eyelets, medial and rear – pops of Blue Graphite, Infrared 23, as well as varying shades of Green and Grey prominently offset the muted palette on the tongue, midsole, outsole and Jordan branding across the ankle and beneath its heel pull tabs.
Retailing for $190, the Air Jordan 7 “Marvin the Martian” will make its official debut once again at Jordan Brand and Nike stockists on March 7th. Full family sizes will be available as well, with GS, PS, TD and GP listed for $140, $80, $60 and $45 respectively.
