adidas Basketball has a little something special up their sleeves for Black History Month, with this new "BHM" version of the D Rose 5 Boost hitting stores soon.

The adidas D Rose 5 Boost “BHM” is actually inspired by one of the NBA’s greatest legends, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who also had his own signature shoe with the Three Stripes. The shoe features a black and gold upper, with inspirational quotes covering the ankle and midsole. Kareem’s face appears on the tongue of the adidas D Rose 5 Boost "BHM", matching the special box that houses the new boosted shoe.
